  • It bothers me quite a lot when people complain about money spent on research organizations like in US some idiots target NASA and complain how its 17 billion dollar budget is too high and forget about the benfits space exploration has bought like weather forcasting and satllite TV. While 700 billion dollars is spent every year to fund wars.

  • @Draxis32 yes. the LHC is 9 billion. the 20 B2 bombers of the US air force is 15.8 billion. and thats only for the planes. in addition there's the cost of developing these bombers, at 44.8 billion. just to this program, which at least gave some good results, the LHC sum pales. then there was the FCS.. that was 25 billion of taxpayer money right down the drain. all of this money just to create an airportable

hybrid-drive mini-tank with internet in it.

  • But... I'm a girl that likes smashing things apart, I want to play too. :(

I never smashed my Hotwheels, but I did break apart phones and remotes.

  • @Arwiiss I like the idea. However, America only spends Half of what you suggested (600 billion) still, that's 60 LHC's

  • Don't be too proud of particle physicists having invented the world wide web. They might get sued by the entertainment industry as soon as those greedy bastiches learn about that...

  • The Large Hard-on Collider is definitely worth the money.

    ; )

  • @TheManGuyDude Coincidence? I think not!

  • @mrrobotica Feel free to vote that way, but I don't agree, and most don't.

  • @motionapplied retard.

  • @motionapplied What the hell are you talking about? You sound like a crazy nazist prick...from what I could understand is that you say that Wars are the reason we do research? Hell no my friend, you forget what war is, war is the interest of the few. Science doesn't have enough funds because there is no interest in it. War have a lot of people interested because it gives more money, and therefore, power.

  • @HaT223 The 17 billion dollars spent on NASA should be left in the free market and space exploration should be left to the private sector. The military, and national defense, on the other hand, can only be properly handled by the government.
