@ozyabbas erm vinny magalhaes, eddie bravo, nino, aoki, denny prokopos, bj penn, dustin hazlets and even rener gracie lool right? the rubber guard is not used by a lot of guys because it requires A LOT of groin and knee flexibility which most people dont have. how ever most of these guys dont really kno how to use it like bj penn hes very flexible but he never hugs his knee when is opponent's arm his on the matt, he just uses it get stand ups not set up submission.

@geobros He actually got his black belt through Jean-Jacques Machado and I assume he wore the gi all through those promotions. Maybe I'm wrong though. . . I think what he meant by saying it was "the only gi technique he knew" was that it was the only gi technique he regularly used in his game.

I just gained a whole new respect for Eddie Bravo. that technique rocks. If the rest of his gi game is even remotely close to that he never should've taken it off. His gi game rocks sad he doesnt teach it much.
