I was riding through a down hill, 90 degree turn in Washington DC one winter 35 years +/- when I hit a patch of sand.
I went down and slid 40 feet across the road.
All I could think about was my Bob Jackson road bike with the Campy Super Record groupo. With my feet locked into the pedals I was trying to stick my feet with the bike into the air. I still have a scar on my hip where I burned right through my shorts and tights sliding across the road.
