Grizzly Johnson from a record I have called Alaskan Folk Songs: 1864-1977 by Paul Roseland. Grizzly Johnson was hatched from a telegram. In 1905 a boat had become disabled near Valdez. The owners sent for a 40 horsepower engine, but before it arrived a fellow named Johnson had managed to move the vessel. The telegram reads "Cancel 40 horse engine. Got Johnson instead"

  • Can you upload more, please? :)

  • @DizzyMissRomi My needle on my record player wore out and I haven't been able to find a replacement. I had planned on uploading the whole record.
