Ron Paul speaks on the floor of the House of Representatives in favor of the non-binding resolution against the escalation of the War in Iraq. One of the more coherent and intellectually honest of the speeches in the debate.

This video is one of four I use to illustrate my blog post about the Debate on the Iraq War. The blog post "President vs. Congress - Round 6&7" can be read at:

  • The best thing you can do to help Ron Paul is join the Republican party so you can vote in their primaries. Anyone who likes what they see here should go to their site and do just that. It takes no more than 2 minutes.

  • funny you should mention that. My recent blog post comments on the virtues of changing Parties as often as you change underwear. Just changed Republican myself, for exactly this reason. Click on my blog at DWSUWF dot com to check it out.

  • Hey, as for running mates, what about Chuck Hagel? I don't know a lot about him, but I know he's regarded as a libertarian-leaning conservative, and has been outspoken about the war and other BushCo activities.

Google: Ron Paul RNC petition -and sign it to stop the Repubs from banning RP from the debates.

  • Sounds good. As long as Chuck is on the top of the ticket.

  • Love this guy. "Resorting to a medical analogy, a wrong diagnosis was made at the beginning of the war and the wrong treatment was prescribed. Refusing to reassess our mistakes and insist on just more and more of a failed remedy is destined to kill the patient-in this case the casualties will be our liberties and prosperity here at home and peace abroad."

  • Yeah. It is going to be real fun watching him at the Republican debate next with Chris Matthews moderating. Can't wait.

  • @gravelvspaul2008 so iraqis werent responsible for 911? then why the hell are we there?

  • Give me 200000 of this, I will make atleast 2,000,000

  • Why are we determined to follow a foreign policy of empire building and preemption which is unbecoming of a constitutional republic....why indeed Dr. Paul...

Thank you telling the truth...God belss.

  • This is why I think Ron Paul is a great man. We don't agree on a lot, but I admire him because he was one of the very few people to look the Iraq War in the eye on day one and say "No".

  • Not surprising. JFK said that it would be one of his goals as President to dismantle the CIA, and then he was assasinated.

  • ron paul rocks!!!!!!!!!

  • At the end of that, Ron Paul wanted to kick some ass.. lol GO RON PAUL!!

  • Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that faces the real issue. Vote Ron Paul, it's what the doctor ordered!

  • Hats of to you. But tell me honestly will it make any difference. President JFK passed an order against the illegal war being imposed on vietnam. Look what happened to him and his brother. CIA under the controls of the neo cons are ripping the world to shreds.

  • The most consistant, honest, and loyal candidate. Ron Paul is the champion of the Constitution. VOTE RON PAUL 2008!
