some slightly messed up cord is better than no perfect cord.

OK, so whilst i did have a massive go at paracord bracelets, they are still pretty good and some string is better than no string

paracord bracelets do look quite cool, but in a survival situation... are they any use???
to untie mine took about 7 minutes, a knife, and a pair of pliers. and all that for 1 meter of trashed paracord???
in my mind, the cobra stitch should be used as nothing more than a cool bracelet.
if you are serious about having a small amount of paracord spare, then there are other knots that might not look quite as cool, but function FAR better.
or better still, just keep a few meters ties into a sausage in the bottom of your kit pack

  • I know some of the military use this..But what is it used for?

  • @indirulz1234 tying things up mainly, although i think they would use it less for decoration.

  • I won't call you a retard or anything, but seriously, it took me 3 minutes and no tools whatsoever to untie mine, and I ended up with exactly 72" (6 feet) of paracord. I tied my own, with a 4-string core and a plastic buckle on the ends.

Next time, try superglue to fix your cuts. Plaster is for drywall.

  • @chemadison i completely forgot about superglue! thanks.

as for bracelets i use a different design where you do just had to pull the core out and it is untied; without having to go through all of the little reef knots, and it holds about 2X as much paracord

  • Your a dork u have no idea how to use this do u? all u do is pull the knot at the end and less that 1 min. it's undone. Also ther are other types of weaves like millipede which has more rope and it comes undone in 5 seconds. read instructions before u make a video about it.

  • first off I wanna ask, what the hell did you do to your hand, and second, did the blood on the braclet come from your hand?

  • i make these also and its not that hard to anraver i can do it in like three minutes with only a pencil to start it with. and even though the paracord looks crappy it still holds great..

  • So, out of curiosity, how does ugly paracord become bad paracord? UT is obviously not in it's mint shape, but so what?

  • And you obviously don't have a preshrunk bracelet, crafters let it be known, it gets far harder to take apart a cobra weave bracelet that has shrunk in the weave, it gets super tight and pointless to use as a "survival" bracelet. They can take upwards of 8 minutes to get apart depending on size.

  • I'm so glad you made this video. You make a good point. What is the point of making the bracelets if they don't serve the purpose.

  • @cliffcox66 Put it in the freezer overnight, that kills all the odor causing bacteria.
