Presented by Michelle Bernard and the Independent Womens Forum, the MSNBC telecast "About Our Children," features Bill Cosby and a host of expert panelists, including DC Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee and E3 Vice President Derrell Bradford, to discuss critical education and social issues facing poor children in America.
I don't think the problem with our education system is under funding. The Asian cultures had the highest SAT scores in the world ,and its not because they have more money. Their culture just values hard work and education more than anyone else. In America it is considered uncool to be educated. To fix the school system we need to have a massive cultural reform. Parents need to start being parents and make their children get educations.

Michelle Rhee isn't holding the parent accountable. She over-identifies with the kids.

why does race have to be brought up everytime. public education is screwing white kids, yellow kids, blue, green and purple kids and it has absolutley nothing to do with money! there are over a million homeschoolers in the US and some of the most succesful ones have modest means. if you care about your kids education, there are many things YOU can do. for a start watch John Taylor Gatto's videos on youtube to understand what a real education is!
