http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/ To find out a good guesstimate if your muse will profit follow the steps below

STEP 1: Research traffic for key terms related to your product idea [https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal]
STEP 2: Multiply the monthly traffic from each key term by 1% [that will tell you approximately how many visitors will come to your site if you do pay per click advertising]
STEP 3: Multiply the total in step two by 1% [That will tell you approximately how many people will buy your product if its good and the ad the site is presented well]
STEP 4: Multiply step three by the price of each product unit to guesstimate how much you will make
STEP 5: Find out how much each key term costs for PPC [pay per click]
STEP 6: Multiply the cost for each term by the total in step 2
STEP 7: Evaluate the profit from each key term to remove ones that don't have a good return on investment [ROI]
STEP 8: Total the cost to advertise on all key terms
STEP 9: Take the total in step 4 and deduct the cost to produce the goods
STEP 10: Take the total in step 9 and deduct the total from step eight

Wala, Now you have a good guesstimate on whether your muse is worth making.

If all looks good and you have a great ROI you will to test your concept just to be sure.

This is the best way if you know nothing about websites...

STEP 11: Go to http://unbounce.com to create a landing page [where people land once they click on your advertisement via PPC]
STEP 12: Sign up for http://wufoo.com to collect emails that will go straight to your email box from site visitors
[if you want something a little more advanced use http://www.mailchimp.com so the emails are collected outside your personal email box]
STEP 13: Set up a PPC [Pay Per Click] campaign using Google found at http://adwords.google.com

Hope this helps!
