  • I always love this particular movement! Thanks for putting it in here ;)

I think, and some people (normal & lost-feminists) do agree too; Clara is actually better than her husband.

  • Very nice piece. What a talent! It does sound like her husband's stuff - or maybe he got some ideas from her!

  • I wrote my first piano concerto when I was 15, and it was - crap.

  • Great in the revival of neglected concertos; the previous renditions by Michael Ponti have been copied and overshadowed by Hyperion - it is always nice to see other good performances

  • @filsuf Better than Robert? LOL

  • Bravo!

  • To be honest, if you can write a piano concerto at age 14, you deserve respect. xD Rachmaninoff had sorted his first one out at about 18/19 too. It's just... insane. xD

  • @bartje11 really?!??!?!?!?! :O :O :O

  • @AA19752012 She was 14 years old when she wrote this!!!

  • @swanningaround

Yeah, she wrote this when she was 17!

  • ganz super, wunderbar!!!

  • Wonderful conclusion of this Concerto, which was written when she was 17. When she was about 27, she started composing a 2nd Piano Concerto, but never completed it. She intended to present it to her husband Robert on his 37th birthday, which was 8 June 1847. She wrote a good portion of the first movement only, but never returned to it for some reason. This first movement was "completed" in 1994, and is called the Konzertsatz in F Minor. It can be heard on my channel. Check it out, it's beautiful
