EPIC "Sucker Punch" movie review

In today's fairly ludicrously over-lengthed LonsTV, Lon spends 15 minutes ranting about "Sucker Punch." That's right...it's 1/8th the length of the ENTIRE MOVIE "Sucker Punch." Buckle up, cause here we go.

Lon finds Zack Snyder's ode to insane stripper soldiers just as disappointing as everyone else, really, but he also thinks that mainstream audiences may have missed the point in complaining about the film's (admitted) total lack of narrative or character development.

Instead, Lon felt the film was meant to be seen as a spectacle. And it just happens to ail at being a spectacle as well for a variety of reasons enumerated at length in the video. And I do mean, "at length." This is probably longer than most of the bonus featurettes that will be on the eventual Blu-Ray, but likely less complimentary.

@TheJoker0027 WOW, did Battle LA SUCK. I really really wanted to like it, too. I've often dreamed of seeing a badass "alien war in the streets" kind of sci-fi film. Crushing disappointment.

Take-down?! Compared to Wade Majors review, this was a two thumbs up! I'm intrigued to check it out, it's often more interesting watching a bold and bizzare failure than a movie that succeeds because it's routine, unambitious and by the numbers.

Btw, the comparison with the musical genre is the first comment I've heard about that actually helps explain the apparent insanity I've witnessed in the trailers - good job.
