Very interesting. I am from the USA, very surprise for me to see how "kind" the SUMO compare with WWF *US wrestling" .. (kk) Much nicer in personality and more gentlement. They must have special of "diet" and living condition social and trainning?? I like to see any web site that said about SUMO, can any of you here HELP to educate me about NEW SPORT for "me" to know. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

This was in Haru 2006, Hakuho was a Sekiwake in this fight, and this win cemented his promotion to Ozeki. He became a Yokozuna a year later.

@azerothsy amazing victory!!! skills!!!

The cushion this is awesome. Imagine how cool hakuho must have felt right then.

@S4ncheezy then that means the caucasian culture should be...well, yes right on target with theirs.
-
Both of them Mongolian wrestlers!

is that hiro morita doing the commentary?
Hakuho was a low-ranked maegashira at the time of this fight (he went on to become a yokozuna). When a maegashira beats a top-ranked yokozuna, known as kinboshi, the people in the audience are expected to throw their seat cushions into the ring and on the fighters.

@metabolgia Because Mongolian wrestling is the same as sumo but with minor differences. Besides, if you come from a culture of pillaging and raping, you'd be badass in anything you do in life.
