Anti Pro Ana Presentation

Pro-ana refers to the promotion of anorexia nervosa as a lifestyle choice rather than an eating disorder. It is often referred to simply as "ana" and is sometimes affectionately personified by anorexics as a girl named Ana.[1] The lesser-used term pro-mia refers likewise to bulimia nervosa[2] and is sometimes used interchangeably with pro-ana.
Pro-ana organizations differ widely in their stances. Most claim that they exist mainly as a non-judgmental environment for anorexics; a place to turn to discuss their illness, and to support those who choose to enter recovery. Others deny anorexia nervosa is a mental illness and claim instead that it is a "lifestyle choice" that should be respected by doctors and family.[1]

well i was watching the pro ana eating a nice biscui with cheese.some people are starving in the world.and why should we starve while having plenty?but this eating disorder exsists only because ppl think its cool to be thin.its cool to be yourself.be yourself.

True "pro ana" hasn't existed since 2006....most of the websites have been shut down, and any that are left are used as support groups for people with eating disorders. Yes, they do use competitions and such for weight loss, but these are people who already have eating disorders. Pro ana can't make someone have an eating disorder. We have them because of deeper things. And shouldn't be punished because people are afraid we will "make" their children anorexic...
