@EnKoreMakeup Hey Koren! Do they have different formulations of cake mascara as well? Or are cake mascaras only good for coloring the lashes without thickening and lengthening? I was planning on getting a cake instead of tossing mascaras away ever so often.

so after you put the shadow on. it wont come off when you press down on her eye to apply mascara?

the song in the beginning sounds like a song from Tarzan (Turk and the gorillas/elephant "sing" it when they find the human's site). Yeah...I'm too much of a movie junkie >.<

Hey, Koren! This is great! I was wondering if you had any other tips for applying on other people. I've been thinking of doing people's make up (like friends) for prom and charge them. How much would you usually pay someone for this? Granted, I'd take that price and go way lower since I'm not pro (just a broke student). I'm definitely going to get brush cleaner, new products, etc.

This has helped me tremendously! Thanks so much ;)

What if you dont wear mascara alot do you still have to replace it every 2 to 3 months?

thank you so much for this, i have my first makeup "gig" coming up soon and your video is a huge help - as always ;-)

These tips solve every one of my application problems for fashion shows and weddings. I have always used disposable wands but the 'pumping action' you mentioned to avoid and the bending of the spoolie. Excellent!

enkore, I wish I could hang out with you-you seem like such a cool person. I could really use your make up tips as I'm a makeup novice.
okay, i understand that being sanitary is good. but the whole getting disposable wands thing. The purpose of different mascaras and the diversity of them (volumizing, lengthening, no clumping) doesn't that all depend on the brush. usually each one i have has a different brush. so i dont' understand that.

yeah, dont get too confused with the brush. The brush just sets the amount of products applied to the lashes. The denser the bristles the more seprating it will be and the more it will add fibers to the lashes which results to volume and length. Its the formulation of the mascara that does all that.

Hi Koren, great videos! I particularly liked this one because I love to give friends makeovers, but I have a problem with people who are not used to having another person work around their eyes and they start to blink or move their head uncontrollably, no matter how hard they try to stay still. Do you have tips on "how to put make-up on other people who are not used to it"? :D

hey Solo - my best advise is keep talking to them! That distracts them from thinking too much about the application process. Speed is also key - the faster you get the eyeliner or mascara done, the more relaxed a fidgety client will be. Also, make sure to make them aware that a certain procedure might tickle, or they will/might feel pressure, that way they know what to expect ahead of time. The less they think about it the calmer they are.

Hey Koren, I just have one tip! :)
It is great to apply mascara first on the bottom lashes and after on the top. Why? Because when you do first top, then look up = the mascara transfer on the eyeshadows and that we really dont want... ;)
