Recently fitted open Cotton Twin Cone induction kit.

Cone replaces angled pipework into OE Airbox, although open kits may suffer from Heat Soak the noise and improved throttle response make up for this.

Some induction noise is lost over exhaust note but there is a nice induction roar under load.

  • '+2bhp?'

Doesnt matter, the induction grow is worth it, went back to the factory setup for a while and didnt really see any loss in performance or gain come to mention it, but I missed the noise so it went back on lol

  • @TURPIN1980 So tht proves that you confused the noise with an increase in power. Your car will last a lot longer by providing filtered air to the engine. Why do you think that the filter housing is a particular shape, the same for pipes? It's all to do with how air flows through and the advantage it provides at different RPM. I'll leave you to research and work out why original is BEST. Then you will understand and never be conned again by big companies just out to make money from boy racers.

  • @urbex2007 Thanks for your views, now go take a happy pill

  • Being an open filter I doubt there is much of a gain but the pick up from lower revs does seem to be alittle better and the induction noise is a nice bonus.

  • Fazator ci zdycha

  • I own a 155 with the 2.0 16v engine, all stock, and it sounds a million times better than that. That engine sounds laggy and asthmatic. It literally coughs before revving. Cone filters in a Twin Spark engine don't work because those engines always run very hot. It can actually lower the engine's power because you'll be shovelling hot air into the engine. Cold air intakes are much better, but they can still ruin your MAF.

  • @policemike because the variator is broken.

  • @vincenzohdi

Yupp, kiss your MAF goodbye with that chav filter.

  • why it sounds like a diesel ?

  • kill maf sensor ;)

  • @TURPIN1980 there sure is some clowns on youtube that urbex2007 comments with the same thing on every air filter video LOL his life is full filled you can tell. any way i added a £30 cone filter to my 1.4 punto evo gp and i know for a fact it is a lot quicker than standard and it sounds pretty cool at about 1500rpm if you floor it just as the throttle body opens i'm sure you know the sound i'm talking about just watch your video @ 10 seconds in and that's the noise

  • it sounds nice but its fucked up i had it on my 156 and two weeks later my maf sensor has gone original filter is the best

  • you should fit that lower by the bottom front spoiler away from heat, then you could gain some more power. check the K&N web site with induction kits there is induction kit with pd-f file of instruction how to fit correctly :) filter like this:)

  • Couldn't live with that sucking sound, argggg
