  • I have gotten this far with absolutely no problems and I am a beginner. Your instructions are so clear and have made this project so easy for me to do. Muchas gracias Yolanda :-)

  • @biopsyco666 - You are welcome. So glad you enjoyed it

  • Happy New Year! I am making my 2nd one of these hats-bc my 1st I can't figure out how to fix :) I am in the beginning-and I have 72 in row 5, not 64. I'm moving onto row 6...will I be fine? The last hat I made- I made 2 extra rows-and it is huge-and flowery and I really don't know what to do with it...I just want to make sure this new one will not flower out since I already have 72 chains, not 64. Thanks for your help :)

  • @chilimaiden - it will be too big.. why don't you try making 5 decreases until you get to 64.

  • Yolonda, I Love this hat, I'm making my second as part of a Christmas gift for my niece, is there a scarf I an make with the same ribbed stitch? What's the rubber piece you have on your hook? It looks comfortable! Thanks for the tutorial!! I can't wait to see the other things you have here :)

  • @DELILAH721 - I'm working on a tutorial that matches. The crochet hook is covered with a rubber pen grip that you can buy at any office supply store. I first wrapped a rubber band around the hook then slid the pen grip on it. It really helps especially with the little hooks I used for thread crochet. They now sell some for made for crochet hooks but they are more expensive.
