A COPYRIGHT CONUNDRUM?

Yeah so the video got taken down sadly due to the music, but that makes two strikes to the channel so I can't afford another. Apologies on that but this hasn't dented my spirit! Thanks again for the stellar support, you really are the best subscribers!

Youtube & there bloody copyright infringements its friggin stupid. Why did they give you a strike for it though if it was audio?... I've had 4/5 of my videos blocked due to audio but all they do is either block in certain countries ( the danceoff is blocked in Germany lol)... or mute the audio bit drastic to give you a strike. is it cos they've told you to take it down but disobeyed? just a warning to change the audio woulda done. to bypass put the track thru audacity n change the pitch by 0.5

@shockz16 Frustrating eh! A non profit video, "fan film" if you will and I get this lobbed at me. Banned in Germany!? lol Nah mate, I've been given the chance before to swap audio but not this time, was just a flat out removal of video and then I had to answer a quiz on copyright to actually do anything again lol :| Yeah I'll work my way around it if I ever do another video like this! "Same time tomorrow" lol - Yeah, does sound like a TV show but that's not a bad idea actually! Bit of a drag you had the second strike Lewis but what can you do? I think YT are way too stringent on their rules - I get that's it's a copyright issue but it's just a shame that everything always revolves around money. If anything you could argue that using copyright material benefits the artist/publisher (etc) as it gains them more exposure and potentially more revenue so they should be thankful lol

@bluetonic78 I have honestly no idea what came over me to say that haah! It is a bit mate but many ways around it I suppose but I just can't afford to get another strike and loose the channel! Exactly! The rules are so backwards these days, hitting hard on us non-profit youtubers just to show off an actual homage to the movie. Isn't that a good thing!? Thanks for the comment Alex!

I got a strike for uploading the title screen to The X Files on PS1... Bullshit mate! Pick ups, gameplays, wierd stuff - it's all good mate, variety makes you more interesting as a person = me enjoying watching :)!

Sorry to hear about your copyright issues. :(

In general, I've found YouTube can be quite inconsistent with how they enforce their policy on this. Only the other day, I saw a video, which had Britney Spear's: "Toxic" playing on top of it and had millions of hits, yet, it's stayed up (don't get me wrong, it's a pretty neat vid) but then other channels include copyrighted content and they get flagged. :(

Yeah: I have odd sayings in my videos when starting and/or finishing too. :)

@LeBossu77 True mate I may even have one LP going while having a variety of just gameplay and commentary running a long side them. I'm definitely going to try and get more minecraft videos done though, people seem to like them! Yeah it's a bit of a gutter but a lesson learned I suppose! Cheers Owen!
