  • started life as a gm bowtie block with standard 4.000 bore.. Was bored out to 4.155 with stock stroke crankshaft (steel oddfire replacement).. The shortblock was relatively basic.

  • is that a 4.3 ??

  • @DAGOLFER34

was 280ci, so maybe 4.5L (not sure on the math without caclulating it)

  • @TheYzrider94

actually never. Motor was recently freshened up and is now making close to 1600hp on methanol.

  • Is that a Nelson Racing motor?

  • No. Race Proven Motors built the motor. It was dyno'd at Nelson's.

  • what would have happend if you guys put a 3.75" crank in that beast?

  • you might need to invest in a wheelie bar.

  • music SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheYzrider94 if you didnt need to put gas in the carb it would have been inpressive

  • vortec 4.3??? has stroker kit???what cc??

  • How does the exhaust look on a turbo'd "V" style motor? Does the turbo use only half the motor?

  • SICK....That's just sick, that engine bay is sick clean man. No fancy little do dahs just POWER. That must have been a serious overhall/ rebuild on those drive train internals especially the tranny and drive shaft to handle that kind of abuse. WOW just awesome. I might not know what a typhoon is but after seeing this I know now.

Just out of curiosity how much did the whole project cost?

  • Is that a Nelson Racing engine?

  • thumbs up its still a v6 ... AWD is one of the things that made syclone and typhoons great along with the turbo too *shaking head* I would have kept the AWD dude

  • @raceprovenmotors Chevy 283 = 4.6l, so probably 4.6. Too lazy to get out a calculator, though...
