I'm 5' 6" and you should be able to touch the ground with the low seat. Sounds like to me the dealer kept the standard seat on - you'd be tiptoeing then.

I'm a male, I'm 5ft 7in and 150lbs and today I test rode the R1200R with, supposedly, the low seat. I was tiptoeing. I'm now beginning to think if the dealer really mounted the low seat...

Also female, and have this bike. Mine has the low seat and is in the almost white grey colour. Nice bike

I too being a female found the stock seat too high. I went with the low seat. Beautiful bike! It's nice to see other female riders with their BMWs! Have fun!
