I identify with this but I'm also thinking, aren't we all, as human beings, sensitive?

Thank you for this short video. Like you I find crowds (depending on the location) can be overwhelming. I not only pick up energy from others but also can feel if they are ill. Just standing in line in a grocery store behind someone with negative energy has made me tired. At 46 I am still working on this. Knowing that other people experience the same things, crave alone time etc is very helpful. Namaste

i've always thought I was an empath but never knew much about it, just started seeing a new therapist (after many years of therapists who didn't get me at all) and after 15 min. she told me to check out Dr. Judith Orloff on youtube and I am already blown away at the thought that someone else out there understands exactly what I'm feeling every day, I'm 32 and finally realizing I'm not alone! I wish there was a weekly group meeting for this.

@tygersflowerz this happens with me too sometimes, just a persons presence in another room can set me off.

@pistraurder i can't even deal with my neighbors on the opposite side of the duplex going in and out a lot of the front entrance when i'm in the room right next to it. especially because i can sense when they're in hostile/agitated/on-edge moods.

i cant even go in the supermarket anymore, the lights alone make me wilt like a dying flower. they sting my eyes, the chemicals give me a headache, the people make me cringe, the poor excuses called food make me feel sick. the queuing checkout process bores me to tears. its all so tough in this chemical toxic whirlpool of negative stagnant energy.
and yes i do psychic protection techniques x100..

@pistraurder Being able to identify the problem is wonderful. Now, what to do about it. For me it's been meditation, which cleanses my "aura" or whatever from all the negative energy. I've learned to block some of it, but I've got a long ways to go. Also, how can I allow my positive energy to affect others, as their negative energy affects me? Lots to work on.

people who aren't empaths probably think this all a bunch of new age bull. but seriously, it's freaking real. I had no idea what the hell was wrong with me all my life. so much is now explained. why I had to constantly run away from people and be alone all the time. why am I so goddamn sensitive to everything and everyone. it wasn't even what they were doing necessarily, it was just there and I felt it, either I stayed there and it affected me or I would have to go somewhere and avoid it.

I've experienced all of what she said, the discomfort in crowds, being able to smell things other's can't, intolerance of loud voices and so on. I love being alone, it's the only time I feel myself, and feel peaceful. I can stay in a bar for just so long, then suddenly I HAVE to leave! I wanted to add, I feel that we can be sensitive not only to living beings around us, but to those beings we cannot see, as well (ghosts). I do meditate, and spend alot of time alone.
