Paper Chromatography Experiment
A solution of ethanol and water (1:1 Ratio) is poured into a graduated cylinder. A black line is drawn with a felt-tipped pin across the bottom of a strip of absorbent filter paper. The paper is then placed within the solution. The ink begins to seperate into seperate bands, showing compounds used in the ink.
