Joining in the Q&A session afterward was Dr. Deborah Stipek , Dean of the School of Education at Stanford, Dr. Madeline Levine, noted clinical psychologist, author of The Price of Privilege and co-founder of Challenge Success, and Dr. Denise Pope, Stanford Lecturer, author of Doing School and co-Founder of Challenge Success.

Mass schooling DOES exactly what it was designed to do. And it does it VERY WELL. Here is a few points, not in order necessarily.
1) kill the natural love of learning; compare a toddler to a school kid
2) break kids into accepting authority from people they don't know or respect
3) mold them into believing their self-worth comes from outside, teachers, exams,..
Most importantly: stopping kids from thinking.
