Poor old Rowan William. He is a intelligent, compassionate, and very decent man, and probably has no more sympathy with the fundamentalists than Dawkins. I think he just likes the churches and the singing and the bits in the bible about being nice to people, and would rather not really think about whether it is all true or not.

In Q 9:123 we read that Muhammad authorized the slaughtering of fathers & family members, under the excuse that they were infidels who refused to become Muslims

Muhammad knew that many fighting men of Mecca were fathers of his followers & fathers would not kill their sons

As a result, many fathers were killed by their own Muslim sons

@miladmeah "Muhammad terrorist blah blah" - Er have you read the bible recently? In Luke 12:47 Jesus gives some useful tips on how to manage your slaves - which generally involve beating the heck out of them. It also endorses stoning women to death (Leviticus 20:27), and repeatedly commands Christians to murder everyone who has religious beliefs different than their own (Exodus 22:20, Deuteronomy 17:2-7, and countless other places). If that ain't "terrorism" then I don't know what is.
