Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Since taking the video, I have learned that veterans of the 54th Massachusetts are in fact not buried in Chestnut Hill Cemetery. I was incorrect in saying this. There is a proximate Lincoln Cemetery on the same road which does have graves for African American veterans of the Civil War. I yet have to visit this cemetery. The veterans buried there are recorded at this link:

http://www.lwfaaf.net/cem/pa/lincoln_colored.htm

I do not see 54th mentioned on the site, so it is possible that African American veterans in general, rather than specifically 54th veterans, are buried in Lincoln Cemetery. To make matters confusing, there is another Lincoln Cemetery across the river in Harrisburg, PA that does have graves for members of the 54th.

If anybody knows more about this matter, please comment.
