The challenge of boosting student performance in low-income inner-city schools remains. As Byron Pitts tells us, while many experts believe charter schools are the answer, opponents disagree.

  • uhm.. cool.

  • Rules are hidden eh? /watch?v=oriAgPgLU6Q&t=5m29s

  • @MrJammer90 Everyone blames the parents... when it's the teachers that train the kids.

  • fitnesschasesr:

Do you listen to yourself? This kind of thinking is the root of our problems in education...Parents that fail to take responsibility for their child. Don't blame the teachers because of your failures as a parent. Do the world a favor, put your child up for adoption and maybe they will get a parent with half a brain. My god you're an idiot.

  • the blured school is my school wow lol

  • @HoGraz not sure for what, but thanks i guess :D

  • @Darusdei Thank you sir.

  • @Poptartza It's still not the parent's responsibility, because a parent can only do so much. They can ask the kid if they have HW and they can say no. And even if the parent sits with the kid to do HW, a child should be able to do HW on their own. Also, not every child has a parent who is home all the time. Sometimes they work late. How do they work in the picture? A teacher needs to consider that too. If a teacher is amazing, a child can retain information very well, without HW.

  • @fitnesschaser01 it's not the parents job to teach, it's the parents job to make sure their is doing their homework, and other assignments. In my high school you got full credit for just doing the homework and showing effort. That kid did neither.

  • @Poptartza Why was the student failing in the first place? If a student doesn't understand the material, it's the teacher's job to help the student understand if. If the parent is responsible for bringing up their child's grade, then that child might as well be home schooled.
