@hallohelloful I usually steam the pumpkin because it is easier and faster, but the taste is not the same. I like baked better.

in germany we dont get canned pumpkin so I used this and worked out great ,thanks

That is what is so great about cooking; you can do it many different ways and have great results. Whether you steam, bake or microwave; pumpkin is a great food item that offers us many nutrients.

@hallohelloful steaming it is a lot moister..well it all depends on wat texture you want to have..~well i prefer steaming it~~haha.

why don't you steam the pumpkin? I steam and made the perfect puree!!

Its not good to use a jack o lantern type of pumpkin because they are less sweet in taste.But you can use it if you add more sugar.Im not sure of the oven temp sorry.
