2 Eastern Hognose snakes

Took a day trip to the Sand Hills area in NC. Found these guys under some tin at about 6:15am. Possibly a pair. The big one is melanistic, or all black, and the little one was a dark carbon grey color, probably transforming into the all black melanistic phase. Didnt keep them.

I think you might have western hognose out there. You certainly have Broadband copperheads I'm pretty sure, which is something I'd LOVE to see in the wild

dude i found one yesterday!! me and the lil sister were swimming and she beat me to the shower so i sat on the porch and looked up and saw a snake swimming in the pond. i thought aaa prob. just a water snake ill feed it to the desert monitors, so i ran down there and it was a hognosed! how lucky is that!! i can never find them when im looking! lol nice snakes!!
