On the weekend of February 2 - 3, 2002 (Superbowl Sunday weekend) a group of friends and I went riding out in Glamis, CA on our ATV's. This particular weekend we decided to record our riding adventure, little did we know that by pure chance our cameras picked up the stuck RV with a murder victim inside, Danielle van Dam.
Here is a link to a picture taken from our video, used in the prosecution:

The entire case can be viewed here;

In court, Mr. Westerfield testified that he arrived at wash 14 at approximately 10:00 PM. I was there, no RV passed our campsite until 1:50 in the morning.
The next morning Mr. Westerfield approached a member of our group at first daylight, asking for help in pulling his RV out of the sand. It was 29 F and Mr. Westerfield, wearing a very light leather type vest and long sleeve shirt, was sweating profusely.

Glamis, CA is a very large sand dune, used extensively for off road recreation. It is not a spot to go hiking or just hang out and camp. Mr. Westerfield arrived late Saturday evening, in an RV with no off road vehicles. He was not camping with any other people.

David Westefield was found guilty for the murder of Danielle van Dam and is currently in San Quentin State Prison, he was sentenced to death.

Please, remember the victim in this case, an innocent 7 year old girl, Danielle van Dam.

Yes, the RV shown is Westerfield's RV, he eventually got towed out.

  • How do you know why pedofiles put their fingers in little kids mouth?? By the way what did you fail a lie detector test 3 times for? Did it have anything to do with little kids?? You sound kinda scary.

  • There is no indication that her parents were not loving caring parents! They loved that little girl and didn't invite him into their home. Thank God justice was done even though the parents were crucified unjustly in court by sleezy defense tactics.

  • @JustFactsTruth oh uhh yeah sure idk

  • The defense used this video: it shows the curtains open so anyone could see inside. Westerfield didn’t testify. He made a phone call at 10:26. He had probably just arrived at Glamis, so it was surely after 11 p.m. he arrived at Wash 14. There was no mention in testimony of 1:50 or when he arrived: only one member of koolstrike’s group testified and he must have been asleep. Westerfield woke 6:30 and tried to dig himself out, which takes much effort so it’s not surprising he was sweating.

  • @AshlessandAnt You said all the evidence pointed to Westerfield. That is not correct, so I listed evidence that didn’t point to him.

  • @JustFactsTruth I'm sorry I read up about this awhile back.I don't actually remember the trail that much. But I don't know if you were againist what I was saying or not.

  • @AshlessandAnt What about the hair found under Danielle’s body? And the red fibers found with her fingernails? And the many other fibers found with her body? And the tire tracks at the recovery site? And the unidentified fingerprints found in her house? And the DNA in bloodstains in her room and even on her bed?

  • @chronsweet Westerfield was expecting to meet up with friends, and would have used their toys, it would have been too much trouble to take his own, especially just for a weekend. In any case, he just wanted to get some sun. Dehesa would have been a very roundabout way home.

  • Let's pray and hope that someone puts there hands around Westerfield neck and very slowly squeeze until that head of his pops off.

  • I think Danielle was alive before the RV got stuck.. Probably Danielle tried to fight back causing the RV to go off into the soft sand. RIP Danielle.

I also think David westerfield spends his time doing things his cell mates order him to do.. This is why Westerfield is always complaining about his dignity.

  • rest in peace Danielle

  • she went to my elementary school when i was in 5th grade......im 20 years old now
