All you should have to do is show the police ID that you live in that house politely and that should the end of the story.

The problem is that some officers are so fucking dense that they feel the need to anal probe you because they were called out and they need to know the entirety of the situation before they go away. At the end of the day i do feel he only did this because 1; he knew the guy 2 ; because he was a professor ! nothing more and He then brought race in to it when it had nothing to do with it ! i couldn't see him getting involved in a case involving say a Mexican gardener or a black taxi driver he once knew !
