i have 1 hahns macaw who loves to talk he loves to sit on my shoulder and talk to me. but with 1 bird comes a great deal of responsibility!

MIne, DNA Male, is the best parrot I have ever owned!! Great talker, since a baby and so loving in nature. He will stay with you all day if you let him. Please know, to all potential owners: these birds deserve and need attention. If you work long hours, consider another pet. They are so intelligent!!!

The things you must consider is the noise level, ages of people in your household, and the amount of time your willing to spend with your feathered friend. The Hahn's is not too loud, but does have occasional outbursts. They do get nippy... bit my lip, earlobe, and finger - didn't hurt too bad. He is not too dominate with one person, he speaks a few words and is very friendly. Hope this helps.
