The story of the 1988-1989 Pittsburgh Penguins. Mario Lemieux set a league record with 13 SHGs and finished the season just one point shy of 200, while scoring 85 goals.
The Penguins made the playoffs for the first time in the Lemieux era losing to the Flyers in Patrick Division Finals in seven games. The highlight of the series was Mario scoring eight points in game 5, including four goals in the first period, versus Philadelphia.
