Track 3.

Pure (1992):

This is the band's second full length album. It marks the first Godflesh release to have Robert Hampson of the band Loop on guitar. The bonus track Love, Hate (Slugbaiting) features 3 minutes of material from Fall of Because, Godflesh's predecessor (w/ Paul Neville on guitars). A music video was produced for the single "Mothra".

Lyrics:
Your eyes, I wasn't born to follow
I can survive, you always try
To enslave my free mind

You followed me in your dreams
Hiding, but on my trail
You found me

Follow me

Now your eyes, I wasn't born to follow
I can survive, you always try
(To enslave) my free mind

Credits:
G. C. Green - bass
J. K. Broadrick - guitar, vocals
Robert Hampson - guitar (tracks 1, 3, 4, 8, 10)
Machines - rhythm and samples
Paul Neville - guitar (track 9)

  • @keyofrassilon Nope, second full length. Godflesh '88 was an EP, re-released by Earache in '90 with two extra tracks because of Streetcleaner's success.

  • This is the third full length from GODFLESH... Not the second

  • Fuck Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, they can all suck a fat dick. These guys are one of the biggest influences on Industrial and even metal today. This band kicks ass, and they shouldn't have broke up.

  • Just dug out my PURE cd. Traffic jams ain't got nuthin on good jams! Actually looking forward to the ride. Bought this the day it came out in 92. So very influential and inspiring. Jesu is nothing on this or Streetcleaner (or Slavestate, Selfless, etc.).

Check out FINAL for some other beautiful soundscapes from around this era.
