I grew up in west virginia, you learned about John Henry at an early age so this song means a lot to me. I learned diversity from John Henry before diversity was a cute tag line in company meetings and trainings.

has to be one of my favorite songs, ever...album version is just glossy yet gritty and moving and perfect.

@AGhost2Most There all fine in there own right but together I don't think ther's a band that ever could touch them. Those 3 albums are masterpieces of rock !!!

With or without DBT he is an amazingly talented musician. I personally liked when he was with the truckers but i think they are fine without him. Their new album rocks.

@wiserleo What a phenomenal song.

And also if you mean by this that you haven't listened to Brighter Than Creation's Dark, it really is a brilliant album, and you should definately give it a go if you are or have ever been a trucker.

Much as he was important to the band, I think thats a bit disrespectful to Shonna Tucker Mike Cooley and most of all Patterson Hood, who i see as the liveblood of the band. Still, Jason's brilliant voice is missed.
Song of the Decade!!!

It's a great one. I'm particularly fond of the story lead in on this one.
