yeah. i found it with my dad. it was under the seat. the speed limiter was a some kind of see-through hose and it was attached to a support beam of the atv's frame. It's pretty complicate to explain and my english isn't very good. But we solved the problem and now our polaris goes like hell. It was pretty cool to drive around the backroads of finland in winter. Top speed is now somewhere around 100 km/h = 60 mp/h. But thanks for the adwises anyway.
I saw something like your story on an atv blogspot. I'm pretty sure if you take it to a dealer and tell them about your problems they can fix it. Mine didn't have the thing but i'm sure that a polaris dealer can fix it.
ok. I'll check the throttle on my christmas hoilday with my dad. but is it inside of the big throttle box where it says something abot the "frozing throttle" or is it outside the throttle box. because we had a can-am outlander 500 and it wasn't in any license at all. only speed or actually throttle limiter it had was a screw behind the throttle trigger that was limitin the movement of the trigger. I think there wasn't that kind of thing in our new polaris, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check

On the one i tried in Norway, it was outside the throttle box, behind it, and it was limiting the movement as you said.
Good luck :)

The speedlimiter is just a piece of metal screwed on under the throttle, just remove it and it goes like hell.
Atleast thats how they limit the speed on atv's registered as EU-tractors in Norway.
