Sadly don't have my buck-knife still, but his one was one of few that actually was sharp enough to cut myself on when new. I had it in 1992 for a few weeks. Next time I'll get the ranger 112.

@wevor4tard yeah. i would keep this in my pocket, but i feel it is way too big to keep in your pocket without a clip

@wevor4tard This isn't exactly a Kershaw Skyline man... It's a heavy overbuilt tank of a knife. I like this knofe in it's sheath... plus it opens up my pockets for other stuff.

@Mikewuzhere Agred, Mexican Leather is made of pure win.

my dad gave me a buck 110 when i was just 7 years old and fell in love with knives ever since. one day i was outside (in my backyard) and my brother decided to take my knife and throw it as far as he could so i kicked his ass.
ps. that knife has been in our family for as long as they first made buck 110's.

Leather from Mexico a downside? Mexico makes some of the finest quality leather out there. As you can see the holster is just as rugged and exceptional as the knife it is holding. Definitely a plus.

@brockCrem12 Slow to open you say? My dad carried this model knife during the 80's. He would deploy the blade with a flick of his wrist. By "tactical" do you mean self defense? My dad used this same knife to defend his life with in 1987 (to the demise of his attacker), before the age of "tactical" folding knives with "wave" opening. Now 23 years later, I carry one of the same.

@makwabid69 Of all of the Gerbers, Kershaws, and Spydercos I have owned, this Knife is still my fav. Also any folding knife that is used as a pry bar will fail.

Cool
why get a holster?
A folding knife folds so it can go into your pocket.
