  • Excellent Video. exactly what I needed to learn more about raised Gardens.

    Thank you So much :)

  • @tastycajun0381 Any soil. I use heavy red clay soil from my house yard. Soil from a farming mate, bought loam from a soil retailer. For the heavy red clay soil I use 70% compost 30% red clay soil. The rest because the soil is more easily workable in its natural state I use 50/50 mix compost to soil. It works well for me. I also recycle all my garden soil through the compost bins as the layer required for the medium for the bacteria to live in. I have five one cubic metre compost bins in use

  • @tastycajun0381 m8 The best way is to put a layer of soaked newspapers about 5 pages maximum. This will prevent weeds etc from growing up into the raised bed. Newsprint nowadays is soy based and not harmful for vegetable growing. Throw away any glossy pages of advertisement. Soil, use any soil BUT I use a 50/50 ratio of soil and compost for the majority of soil and work in a manure (horse chicken sheep etc) about 2" deep into the soil before planting.

  • @Haliotro As opposed to what? a New York Accent? If I had to judge a video on gardening based solely on the voice of the narrator, I would believe a southern accent to be more credible than a city accent. What do they grow in the city, dandelions?

  • HAHAHA the narrorator sounds like that blonde chick form king of the hill!!!!!!!!
