This is a short video on the last Mojo bag I made for myself. You can make one for any purpose (Love, Protection, Self confidence, Break a habit, Good luck) just by making a different blend of items.

  • I'm just barely learning hoodoo/root work. At the very beginning of this journey I find myself lost in a sea of information and many, many questions! Here are a few. 1) I thought mojo bags were to be wrapped up with a string in a certain direction a certain amount of times?

  • Hi! Don’t worry, I think we all feel that way when we first begin because there’s so much to learn and it’s exciting that we don’t know where to start. I’d suggest picking up a few beginner books and you’ll even still use them later on for reference points. Mojo bags are compeletely preference. There are so many “recipes” and ways to make them that I think it’s best to do what feels “right” for you because you’ll have a better and stronger connection with it

  • @BeKind83 and it will put more “oomph!” to what you do. For me I typically like to always include 7 or 9 items. But if you feel that 8 or 10 just balances your mojo bag better than an odd number, that’s ok!!! If you feel good about wrapping it 3… or 5 times… counterclockwise..etc, then that’s what you should do :) Whatever feels true to you is best I think. And honestly one of the things I love about this path is that there is

  • @BeKind83 not right or wrong…we do what we feel is right for us and what gives us joy and happiness. Oh, I do “feed” my mojo bag every full moon. It’s easier for me to remember for one, and for two that’s when I feel my best and more connected, again for more energy goes into what I am doing since I carry it on with me for several weeks and I dress every item with oil, only because again it makes me feel more connected. Hope this helped!

  • Great video, and such a nice, relaxing voice...I can't even focus on the content of the video, lol.

  • @TheStarfkr

Also, please be very careful of CharmingPixieFlora's stuff. Much of her information is wrong. Not all of it, but a lot of it is just plain wrong. The book, "Hoodoo Herb Magic" is a great resource.

  • You made a nice bag, but unfortunatley the items you used are not suited for a protection hand. Instead, Most of the items you used were for luck, especially gambling luck. "Lucky Hand Root" is not the most powerful ingrediant. It's used in luck/gambling spells. Rose Quartz is for love, not for dispersing negative vibrations. Hematite & Jet, are for protection. Devil's Shoestring is for protection, luck, and for getting a job. 5 Finger Grass is for luck & favors.

  • @BeKind83 Mojo hands should be wrapped with a string and never knotted three times (the reason you don't knot the bag is becuase the power it gives you will be unable to get out)

I always feed mine with Oil and some of my own breath. how are you learning hooodoo if I can ask? @bekind

  • 2) Can you feed your mojo bag like you would a doll baby, or do you actually need to open it up and oil everything?

Your video is great....although I've heard people warn about showing your alter/working area to others. Are you at all worried about that?
