@manco82 Oh no, it's just that the movie it's a lie, just that.
-
Never understood how anyone has a problem with Keitel in this movie, he's amazing.
-
that list bit of color is when the film actually ran out during filming, so Sorscese left it in as he though it was fate.
-
@MrFan32 The movie is about Christ struggling between being a man and being a god, I think he knew his purpose, but he didn't want to accept it, he was still part man, and afraid of his destiny.
-
@RelentlessLimpet so he learned his purpose throughout his life or did he know his purpose throughout his life, it's weird for god himself to be tempted and tricked by the devil
-
@MrFan32 He learned why he had to die, that without his blood, salvation wouldn't come. He lived as a man, and in the end, he was destined for something else, Jesus is the incarnation of God, not a human, he is a divine being not meant for the mortal world, the ending shows him realising that.

this is usually my prayer.

What's spooky is that the film mucked up just as Jesus (Willem Dafoe) breathed his last and closed his eyes.
I'm no religious person but I still think this is a fascinating movie. Dafoe did an amazing job.
-
wtf happened? he got tempted first then did a meaningless crucifixion?

yo creo en Jesucristo y soy católico cristiano y me encanta la película...
What offends many Christians is the notion that Jesus was fallible, that he doubted whether he wanted to be the messiah. A fallible god is unacceptable to them, thus the hate.
