Well here they are! We have been successful with our pregnant CRS shrimps which is great! We looked in a while after the eggs disappeared and discovered little tiny babies on the side of the glass app 2mm long. We find more every day and have since discovered another female is pregnant. The little ones are now approximately 3 weeks old. The adults completely disregard them as we were concerned at the beginning incase the adults ate the young but they all live together very happily. They seem really happy in their Nano cube environment. More from the little guys soon. Enjoy :o)

  • Do they looks like adults with red and white stripes right after hatching. Or they are almost transparent?

  • @igorKanshyn They are a carbon copy of the adults but very, very tiny app 2mm.

  • what filter you using?

  • @AdrianNYHz The one that came with the tank.

  • OH!! how did you cycle the tank with aqua soil and how long did it took? my 5.5g for CRS/CBS is having ammonia spike due to the amazonia aqua soil...now im trying to recycle it back for my shrimps ASAP

  • To be honest the soil came with the nano tank with full instructions so we followed those? We added the 2 substrates separately and placed a saucer in when adding water to help with displacement? We left it a week before slowly adding some shrimp. The IMPORTANT thing is to not be OVER cautious as ours seem very happy as they are. We let them be. Yours must be happy if you have a gravid female good luck with that :o)

  • Great video.

  • Hi there! The tank is a 30 litre Nano cube.

The substrate is an aqua soil that came with the tank. The temperature is 24 degrees. I change a third of the tank water once a week and clean the filter.

Hope this helps! Good luck with your CRS! :)

  • whats your tank specs? temp?substrate?how many water changes and when?

just curious XP coz i have a berried CRS in a temporary 15liter tank while their 23liter is being cycled

  • Sorry for the late reply and thanks for your comment. It is a fairly small tank (actual name is NANOCUBE - made specifically for shrimps) I believe 20L? Not sure what the pH is to be honest we just let the little guys get on with it they love it! We have since had more babies so there is lots of activity - we'll post a new video soon :o)
