I myself was born with the ability as well as my grandmother. And we were tought not to touch the unclean thing. Therefore we just put it in the back of heads and not practice it. Though one nurse that I worked with said, " If you have that gift, you could help detectives with it." I had a fleeting thought that she maybe right, but I came to senses and I thought that it is not a right practice. It's a great thing that you found Christ, like I have. May God Bless you. :)

i know old people around my area that tell stories about leprachauans or little people as they call them, stories so in depth you would believe them if you heard them but would you, even if they sounded more convincing than her

It seems she has traded one dogma for another. Maybe her mother was mentally ill. Not all spiritualists are mentally ill, not all Christian are, but that does not mean that they are not highly attracted to "magical thinking" it fits perfectly into psychosis, and it can be dangerous for them. I don't want anyone to listen to this and think that it is a belief in anything that is not Christian that causes mental illness, or corruption. I am happy she has found peace in her life.

@SpiritualMediumSarah well..I know that I'm highly empathic, and I really DO mean HIGHLY. I'm still very new at this, so I'm still learning to control it better. I can actually read people's emotions and I am rarely wrong..so, I could very well be picking anything up...

When you feel anything negative, be sure to understand what it may be-Are you feeling this from someone else who may be sick or depressed or having a bad day? Is a spirit guide sending you energy that translates as (No or We can't work together right now-etc), or are you too tired, stressed, sick etc..Many different reasons, but always good to learn the why.

@SpiritualMediumSarah Thank You Sarah. There are times when I feel negativity from them, but I realize that it's not their intent, but more what I am picking up from them. As for unkind spirits, I know they'll always be around, but they never win over God and my protectors so I don't worry. I NEVER use spirit borads, but I do use dousing rods and other equipment..just never without prayer and protection first.
