Since this wasn't on the Tubes, I thought I'd slap it up. "Hole In The Ground" video. If you're not familiar, the video was shot and cut to the Martin Atkins remix of "Hole In The Ground," not the version on the Burn album, which is significantly different.
@phedre06 I was at that show! I also saw them two weeks earlier at The Metro in Chicago (pretty much their home venue) and would you believe the Blind Pig show was actually better? I think it was just a more lively crowd and more crowd interaction. Anyway, yeah, those were the days.
I always thought this was a cool song until I heard it live on April 17,1996 at the Daily Grind in Kansas City. I still to this day to not remember a song having as much venom as this did live. You have to hear it in person to appreciate just hwo cool it sounded.
If I remember correctly, it was written by Die Warzau, but they couldn't get it to sound like they wanted, so they gave it to Chris and the SMG gang. This (well...the "dirty" version) of my favorite version of this song.
They did record the song. I believe it was originally going to be on an album prior to Engine, and I can't for the life of me remember the name of that album, but the project was scrapped. I wish I still had a copy of it. :(
I remember when this aired on 120 minutes. I think I still have it on VHS somewhere... Thanks for posting! I also found the promo CD with the 4 mixes on it at a local record store for like $1 - this was about what, 12 years ago now?
I got a copy of this song mid '90s on a free cassette that came with AP Magazine. It's a great version. Atkins is genius!

Well, at least there's hope of coming across it at some point in the future. Thanks for giving Die Warzau fans some hope.

I wasn't aware Die Warzau authored this song. Did they record their version?
