Footsteps; Part Three Missionary Baptist Church 2010

Jesus House Of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church. On a spring Sunday morning they gathered and gave thanks to being chosen as a resilient people to spread the word. The old church sits in the middle of the Oakhurst District in the City of Decatur, and still serves the members of the community. It is an old solid church which anchored the community and gave them refuge from all social storms. It is a testament to the spirit of a small town who have never lost the faith. The sermon of that Sunday was about life lessons and how the young are in need of those words. The inspiring sermon, delivered by Deacon Morris Hendricks, goes deep into your soul and brings back the words our grandparents wanted us to live by and be better for them. Love, care and devotion are their gospel. Find peace within their walls and remember a time when life was clearer.
