Lol. I've got a laptop that cost £600 less than the m18x and it's better. Please guys look into customising your laptop first before jumping straight into an Alienware purchase. They're great but you can get the same performance a LOT cheaper.

@LHITShappy they trade blows as in 1 driver will make the 6990m better then the nest will make the 580m better

@FileShare111 I don't think it's going to happen that soon. These things get melting-hot and the whizzing fans are deafening, plus the battery would only last a max of 30 min so you can't actually play wihtout having it plugged to charge.

how come notebook check shows the gtx 580m runs faster? according to their benchmark, in sli gtx580s run noticeable faster than xfire 6990ms by a small margin. and now im confused and dont know which one i should choose for the alienware m17x, ati 6990m or the nvidia gtx580m?
