I think it's about the fantasy life a boy creates growing up in abusive home. And yet, when the father is gone, the abuse never ends. And when the boy can play the entire song on his own, all the fantasy animals come to mourn the father's death.

Someone is acting awfully pretentious. This is an amazing animation because of the sheer amount of symbolism and creativity jam packed into it. Just because people don't share the same opinion as you doesn't mean they are are immature. I think its brilliant to present aspects of the world in this manner.
