Filmed by Christopher Pezza on April 19, 2009. Until the end of World War II, hemp was a vital resource in the American industrial textile industry. Hemp refers to the non-psychotropic cannabis strains that can produce various products including oil, fabric, and food. This panel will present the history of the American hemp industry, its current legal status, and possible solutions to climate disruption and economic recession.

  • All drug policy info I post, I make addiction, harm reduction, etc tags. Personally I believe psychedelics have a deal of potential for healing addiction. Overall I want this info to reach anyone doing any form of drug research... as Melamede said "marijuana is the gateway for getting off other drugs"

  • @IRulesMe YES THAT's RIGHT, YOU don't know what YOU are talking about.

cannabis is hemp , some Cannabis is suitable for rope & textiles. food , fuel & bio Diesel. this industrial variety has NO THC you can smoke a joint the size of a telephone pole & get only a MASSIVE headache. Some varieties of cannabis is useful for medication & the treatment of dis-ease. & has THC & CANNABINOIDS ,some cannabis is used recreationally & is High in THC & makes you feel good & relaxed. Don't SMOKE ROPE.

  • She doesn't know what she's talking about or she is being misleading. Hemp is Pot, they are just 2 names for canabis. The difference between hemp and 'pot' is whether or not your plants have produced seeds due to the fact that the THC is used up in the production of the seed. There are not 2 strains 1 for fibre and 1 for seed. That depends on how you plant. Close together=tall plants=good for fibre. Far apart=shorter plants=good for seed. Differentiation is a red herring to appease the stupid.

  • You know fabric will be 1 of the most valuable because the cloths and furniture bedding etc today are synthetic.Made from oil and you can see all the cancers and new diseases that likely lead back to all this poison leaching into us and if a new house has no air exchanger you die WTF.Go natural and we will be healthy and save on hospital stays if a study is done it would show synthetics probably kills more than tobacco.Peace

  • Obviously she will profit from Hemp. Hence the video.

  • 2 words......tigol bitties
