The Maple Leaf forever (original version)

Here here! The Red Ensign was the best flag ever.

The Maple Leaf Forever should have been our national anthem. The song screams out pride in our country, our pride in the British Empire and our pride in our national symbol.

Unfortunately, the French in Quebec viewed the song as "Rule Britainia" and therefore it was never adopted.

And I say this as someone who has significant French ancestry.

it's something like 10,000 times better than O Canada, I would even be happy to take the old flag back

I am American, but I don't think this is as rousing as O Canada...

"Oh Canada" is the most inspiring of anthems.
