Jerry Yudelson explains why commercial and residential green building is succeeding and even gaining momentum in the face of a down economy. One example provided is the California Academy of Sciences new LEED Platinum building.

Yudelson is widely recognized as one of the leading green building experts in the United States. On behalf of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), he chaired the Steering Committee for Greenbuild 2004, 2005 and 2006, the largest green building conferences in the world, and he has trained nearly 3,000 people in the LEED rating system. He served on the national board of the USGBC and was a Founding Board Member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
