@aidan752 Its mostly because the original was directed as a straight horror film. Evil Dead 2 is a movie that tries to be a horror movie with comedic elements. Hence the badass montage of assembling a chainsaw hand

funnily enough this film is so low budget they had to use a REAL chainsaw. I guess Bruce Campbell er- Ash is just that much of a man.
