This footage was taken by myself and friend. There were thousands and thousands of peaceful protesters at the event. I was with fellow St. Paul teacher union members as well as unionized sugar beet farmers from Minnesota. I understand there needs to be a police presence at protests and there will always be some protesters looking for a confrontation. But I was shocked at the anger and violence of law enforcement this day. I witnessed and read accounts of law enforcement officials being rude and violent towards hard working union members and elderly protesters which is disheartening. It was an eye opener seeing our tax dollars being spent on riot police to protect the corporate interests being represented by a few negotiators while the will of the people to save jobs, support worker rights, and support environmental protections were violently ignored.

Hey iialbiaii. Thanks for watching the video. All I can say is I did my best to tell my story with the video footage I had. I've never had issues with cops my whole life before or after this incident....but the FTAA protest in Miami were profoundly messed up. I showed the footage I had (rubber bullet to my friends bod.....dude who got his eye shot out). I just did my best to portray the reality of that day with the video footage I had + info. I got from a salon.com article.
