  • This is our HISTORY Hw...

  • The sad thing is today there are too many Once-lers...possibly even the late great Steve Jobs.

  • Wow I'm crying. Nostalgia hit hard. This was and will always be my favourite children's book. Loved it the first time I read it. Never knew there was an animated version. I quite enjoyed this. Thanks for uploading! :)

  • @Heralde8 Yeah I didn't either and I always owned the book :)

  • @lavierose34 Wow, I didn't know that. Thankfully the Lorax was always in my school library. :)

  • @Heralde8 It's just the book gives you a cliffhanger (which I prefer) while the movie gave us a straight out happy ending, singing and stuff. But as a kid I always wanted to know what would happen once the boy plants the seed, or even IF he planted it at all

  • @Heralde8 Yeah, which is why it was banned in school districts once parents and corporates weren't fond of the messages, they also claimed that it confused kindergartners. When I was 10 in the summer my camp coach was reading it to us and said for awhile he wasn't allowed to read it to students. It may have either been because the book was a little depressing for kids or because of the message it gave, or even both

  • @lavierose34 But wasn't the book for kids too?

  • @ChristlicherKrieger3 Ok, sorry if I missed that, lol.

  • @Heralde8 Only that one should learn to detect sarcasm. I thought it'd be obvious by now.

  • @Heralde8 I also hate how the once-ler was humanized, the once-ler in the book was my favorite part of the story, and the creepy long green arms represented money and greed. He just had to be turned into some 20sh guy that was comic relief and even befriended the lorax.

  • @Heralde8 I actually loved the movie but it was a little contradictory. The thrown in romance and stuff wasn't necessary, and of course the dark gloomy vibe the book gave me wasn't present as much in the movie, since it was for kids. The book will always be my favorite Suess book ever
