Conrad Veidt walks up some stairs.

In the commentary to "The Thief of Bagdad," Francis Ford Coppola says that the way Veidt moves is "perfect" - noting that he takes the steps two or three at a time, "like a panther."

I have never seen anyone move more gracefully in my life, and I don't suppose I ever will. He really was amazing!

Of course, measuring 6'3 must have helped a lot. Maybe he had some dance training in his youth ?

He was fantastic and a handsome man. I can see how Coppola got the panther comment. Just moved very gracefully and stealthly and really made his presence known (more than just that but the essence of the character itself). He was amazing at that. I liked his outfit and shoes too.
